Lex Anderson – Running Technique Coach
Based out of Canberra, Lex Anderson has been developing his running technique theories for over 20 years.
In Lex’s own words: I have been involved in coaching running, speed and movement, and Strength & Conditioning (S&C) for over 20 years. Initially employed by the NTL franchise Crusaders and then appointed by the ACT Academy of Sport (ACTAS) as the S&C coach for Men’s Hockey. Due to the results I achieved in speed development and agility, I was subsequently employed by ACTAS as a Speed & Movement Coach. As far as I understand, this is a unique role/position within the AIS and State Academies system. I have since been employed by professional sporting teams such as the Brumbies and the Canberra Raiders, consulted to Australian programs in Football, Softball and Hockey, individual athletes at international and national levels, also well as plethora of sports at national and state levels. Approximately 10 years ago I started my own business specialising in improving/altering running mechanics to better improve performance and enhance injury prevention. This has given me a unique understanding of gait dysfunction and allowed me to develop an original approach to assess, prescribe and solve running problems.
